About Ecstatically Queer

This Ecstatic Dance Community Immersion is queer-themed, as an intentionally safer and supportive container for all Queer and Questioning adults (18+)* Deepen your connection with self, community, and the great mystery by immersing yourself in ecstatic practices and the soothing hot springs of Breitenbush! 

​This retreat is intended for those with a foundation in ecstatic dance or similar practices, allowing us to drop into a shared depth from the very start. Our facilitators mindfully hold the container for this journey, creating a safer space grounded in our shared culture of consent and attunement.

*​Queer: any identity or orientation that doesn’t fit neatly into the binary boxes of gender, orientation, expression, or identity. Questioning: if you’re questioning your own categories, labels, identities, orientations, boxes, etc--or even just questioning the validity of the binaries and labels forced upon us by the cisheteropatriarchy--you’re welcome here.

​We will form an intimate village of 85 participants with exclusive access to the grounds (no personal retreats during the same weekend). You are invited to choose your own rhythm among daily Ecstatic Dances, restorative workshops, guided meditations, and exquisite soaking, with all of our sessions held in the lovely North Wing.

What makes this a celebration of queerness?
♥  We're holding this retreat as an intentionally welcoming space for queer folk and queer expression
♥  All of the retreat presenters and staff are queer
​ ...otherwise, the music and movement sessions will be typical of other Ecstatic Dance events.

​Ecstatically Queer includes:
​♥  Three days and two nights at Breitenbush Hot Springs
♥  Full access to all Breitenbush soaking pools and facilities
♥  A variety of lodging options, from yurts to cabin rooms to vehicle camping.
♥  Lodging is inclusive of bountiful, organic, vegetarian meals (3X per day). An optional meal plan is egg-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free.
♥  Daily Ecstatic Dance sessions, plus workshops and lightly-facilitated classes in other modalities such as Amoeba Dance, Contact Improv, partner massage, and sound bath meditation (no previous experience necessary)
♥  Extra amenities, including organic coffee and late night snacks.

At Breitenbush, with its seven unique pools, cold plunge, and sauna, you'll experience this exquisite flow all weekend long. Our dance sessions will deepen your connection to yourself and others, while the mineral-rich waters melt away tension and awaken your senses. This interplay of movement and stillness creates a truly transformative and unique experience, leaving you deeply connected to your body, the Ecstatic community, and the natural world.
