This Ecstatic Dance Community Immersion is queer-themed, as an intentionally safe and supportive container for LGBTQIA+ folks. You don't have to be queer: Allies are also very welcome!
Deepen your connection with self, community, and the great mystery by immersing yourself in ecstatic practices and the soothing hot springs of Breitenbush! Choose your own adventure among daily Ecstatic Dances and a variety of other movement sessions. A weekend highlight will be our forum on exploring queer identity, behaviors, and allyship. Whether you come alone or with companions, the ecstatic community is warm and welcoming—and upholds a culture of consent & attunement.
This retreat will occupy the whole Breitenbush property, with up to 80 participants (no personal retreats during the same weekend). All dances & other sessions will be held in the North Wing of the Lodge.
What makes this a celebration of queerness?
♥ We're holding this retreat as an intentionally welcoming space for queer folk and queer behavior
♥ All of the retreat presenters and staff are queer
♥ The Saturday afternoon discussion forum will explore topics of queerness and allyship
...otherwise, the music and movement sessions will be typical of other Ecstatic Dance events.
Ecstatic Community Immersion includes:
♥ Three days and two nights at Breitenbush Hot Springs
♥ Full access to all Breitenbush soaking pools and facilities
♥ A variety of lodging options, from yurts to lodge rooms to vehicle camping.
♥ Lodging is inclusive of bountiful, organic, vegetarian meals (3X per day). An optional meal plan is egg-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free.
♥ Daily Ecstatic Dance sessions, plus workshops and lightly-facilitated classes in other modalities such as 5Rhythms, Contact Improv, partner massage, and sound bath meditation (no previous experience necessary)
♥ Extra amenities, including organic coffee and late night snacks.
